| The Brit Writers | exciting new award for unpublished writers |
The Brit Writers are proud to be working in partnership with The Writers Workshop. The Brit Writers' Awards (BWA) Unpublished 2010 is a pioneering national awards programme for unpublished writers – the first of its kind in the UK. This exciting new initiative has been created to encourage and inspire new writers of all ages and from all backgrounds. We want to unleash the hidden literary talent that lies within the UK.
It's going to be big: think writers' versions of The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. The Brit Writers’ Awards promises to become the biggest annual event on the UK’s literary calendar. We’re expecting over a million people to get involved in this national initiative and are busy preparing to receive over 100,000 entries in 11 awards categories, including poetry, novels, entries from under 16s, songwriting and a special award for Published Writer of the Year.
