• We are very careful with your manuscript, but please make sure you have a backed-up copy of your own. • If return of the manuscript is required, please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope. On the whole though, you may prefer to save yourself the money. If you're about to start making revisions, then the manuscript may not be of much use to you. |
• We are very happy to accept submissions by email, but we do make a 10p / page charge for printing off. •
We suggest that you include a covering
letter
which tells us: i) what kind of book it is - crime, romance, literary, etc ii) What specific concerns you have, if any, iii) What contact you may have had with agents and / or publishers so far; and iv) anything about yourself you'd like us to know - age, occupation, ambitions, that sort of thing. None of this is essential, but it helps us focus on the things that matter for you.
You may have told us some of this by phone / email already, but it never hurts to repeat it. Your covering letter goes straight to your editor with your manuscript, so it's your chance to address them directly. |
